Ceder’s Non-Alcoholic Beverage
Ceder’s offers up a gin alternative for those looking to abstain from alcohol.
The husband-and-wife team, Craig Hutchinson and Maria Sehlstrom, married their homelands in the creation of their alt-gin brand Ceder’s. While on a visit to Craig’s homeland, South Africa, the couple found inspiration in the indigenous natural botanicals of the Cederberg mountains. Believing they could distill a non-alcoholic gin using rare cape botanicals, they returned to Maria’s home of Sweden to work on its development. Each botanical and ingredient are individually distilled or macerated to extract its unique flavor profile. The process uses many of the same distillation techniques and ingredients as gin, such as juniper berries, but it is a new innovation to create a distilled non-alcoholic spirit. It has 0% sugar and 0% calories and is full of flavour. It is designed to be mixed with your favourite cocktail. Using South African ingredients and Swedish waters, they launched Ceder’s in 2018 – a juniper-led line of exceptional and refreshing gin alternatives.
Ceder’s Classic is floral and balanced, combining classic gin botanicals such as juniper and coriander with hints of geranium and Cape floral fynbos. Great in classic cocktails with bitters or sparkling juice.
Ceder’s Crisp is refreshing and tranquil, combining classic gin botanicals such as juniper and citrus with cucumber and calming chamomile. Perfect for citrus and floral based cocktails.
Ceder’s Wild is spicy and intriguing, combining classic gin botanicals such as juniper and ginger with clove and rooibos. Perfect for berry-inspired cocktails.
Ceder’s Pink Rose is vibrant and delicious, combining classic gin botanicals such as juniper and citrus with subtle notes of rose and sweet hibiscus.
